Marlon Mitchell
Graduate Research Assistant
Marlon Mitchell is an I-STEM graduate research assistant currently working on several evaluations funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health:
- Vertically Integrated Training with Genomics: Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship Evaluation (VINTG IGERT);
- Emergent Behaviors of Integrated Cellular Systems Science Technology Center Evaluation (EBICS); and
- Illinois Chemistry Sciences Research Experiences for Undergraduates
Marlon received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science from Dominican University and Industrial Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He completed his Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Marlon is currently working on his doctoral degree in the College of Education’s Curriculum and Instruction MSE (Mathematics, Science, and Engineering) division with an evaluation specialization. His research interests include evaluation of K – 16 STEM Education programs, Engineering Education, and development of STEM programs for traditionally underrepresented populations.
